Insurance problems

Hiya

Ok my annual insurance is generally £40 as I get it through work with a discount

But this year my neices are coming with me and the insurance companys are wanting loads of money to insure them on a policy with me as they arnt mine.

So can kids have their own insurance?

Then I can carry on my annual insurance

Im a bit stuck as I have never had to get insurance for kids before

What insurance did they have last year Anna? It might be worth asking that provider as they have been covered with them before?

they were on a family policy with tcd with their parents

I have so far tried halifax, norwich union etc, all of them knock the price up by syaing they are unacompanied as they arnt mine

but the post office is looking good at fifty six poound for us all, as they count aunts in their policy

We used Direct Travel Insurance. For a family premium plus policy I think we paid around £80. They were also on the list if approved companies in Which? magazine.

Thankfully we didn't need to test how good they are with claims though.

I went to their website and did a quote for an adult and one child - using different surnames and the quote went through ok - £54 for single trip to USA.

Their standard annual worldwide travel insurance is £45.
