Anyone know if Canadians can actually use the insurance offered by WDW on their packages if something happens? If so, anybody successful in getting a claim?
Last night, I changed my reservation from room only to a package to get free dinning and didn't realize that I was purchasing the insurance until I got the reservation emailed to me. The CM asked about insurance at one point, when I started asking questions about it, he briefly mentioned a few things then jumped onto another topic when I asked about price. At the end of the call, he went over details of the package purchase, dates, amount of people, etc but no mention of insurance at all. I had not agreed to insurance and didn't think I was buying it. Needless to say, my charges ended up being $200 more than it should have been.
The annoying thing is that is says it is non refundable. I'm not going to be a happy mouseketeer if I'm stuck with something that I can't actually use and another call will certainly be in order.
