I just got quotes for travel insurance and I could not tell it is too late to purchase the policy. All I am worried about is trip intreuption. It was on the quote. So does this mean it is not too late?

HeatherH said:You can ABSOLUTELY purchase travel insurance after your final payment has been made, just not through DCL (and that's actually a GOOD thing, I wouldn't recommend DCL insurance anyway).
Go to www.insuremytrip.com and click on QUOTES and fill in the form...you'll find MANY options that are affordable and give you the coverage you need.

First, as to trip interruption--you usually can't get more than your original trip cost, although some policies do set an amount per day. Most will pay your actual expenses (hotel, meals, etc.) that were "extra" because your cruise was delayed or whatever. They will also cover any costs for cancelling/changing flights. This part is fairly straight forward.
Now...look at your health insurance. Does it cover an air evacuation if needed? Does it cover medical care out of the US? What about an "out of network" physician or hospital? If all of these things are covered on your health insurance, you might not want to pay to have them covered on your trip insurance. But if they are not covered on your health insurance, consider that a helicopter evacuation from a ship can cost as much as $25K! Do you have enough money or insurance to cover that?
Your trip insurance will cover things like this....also some reimbursement for things like lost luggage (you may have to buy some clothing for the cruise if your suitcases don't make it to MCO), etc. What they will cover depends on the fine print in the policy.
Most of us think of covering the cost of the cruise, but the medical can be a whole lot more.

I think I am going to go with the cheap one because it has all we need on it.
