My dh had a collapse a couple of weekends ago, landing him in hospital for a few days. He was subsequently diagnosed with an intermittent heartbeat irregularity (Atrial fibrillation). It would seem he has the less severe form, and he is now on treatment for this. He is not yet allowed to drive as he needs a couple more tests to rule out any other reasons for losing conciousness.
We are going to Florida for a fortnight mid-April, and have had it booked for 16mths, and have insurance.
Our dilema is that 2 hospital docs (one this afternoon) have said absolutely fine to go, our GP however said no!!
We fully intend to go as we are travelling with another family and the children are so excited, but what do I need to do with regards to ensuring our insurance is still valid. If we tell them that a consultant has OK'd it will this be good enough? I have made my dh an appointment with the senior GP ( a non-panicker), but he is on holiday until 2 days before we leave, which cuts things a bit fine
Many thanks if you've made it this far, does anyone have any advice?
