Has anyone who is reserving a Fall 2021 cruise purchased insurance yet? I'm about to put down a deposit but it occurred to me I don't feel comfortable with DCL being able to deny me boarding (not saying they should let sick passengers board, but I want to be able to recoup the cost of the cruise if I can't sail). Are there any insurance providers who are currently offering to cover denied boarding, both at the departure port and in ports of call?

Every personal lines and commercial lines insurance carrier we deal with has a pandemic or Covid exclusion. From what I understand you can't even get a cancel for any reason travel policy. Not sure what DCL is doing with their travel policy.

Thanks. I've done some digging, and it seems if you are denied boarding because of a fever or other health screening and get a doctor's note confirming your illness, that would be covered under general sickness cancellation. DCL is also offering a 75% cancel for any reason credit towards future cruises, but you can only transfer that credit once and if you use it on a cheaper cruise it's considered used up.
