The question is, I already put down my deposit for upcoming DCL cruise. My final payment is due in a couple weeks. I know I can add on insurance through DCL up until my final payment is due. Does anyone know of any other insurance companies that they have used, that will allow me to do the same thing, since I already put my deposit down months ago?

You can purchase insurance at at any time from most companies. The timing with the deposit thing is primarily for pre-existing conditions coverage.

We use a couple of the travel insurance comparison sites to compare policies before purchasing.

As long as you don't want/need to include something like a pre-existing conditions waiver, you should be able to purchase most third party policies. Check out one of the trip insurance comparison websites for options. Then call to confirm about any specific questions you may have. I believe there is at least one insurer that will also give PEC waiver at this point but it will be costly.

Smart to purchase travel insurance, especially on a cruise, especially having the medical evacuation coverage which is included. Terrible to think about, but one never knows.
