insulin pump and roller coasters

Did you look at your pump history to see exactly how much you used on that day? And did you contact your pump manufacturer? You say yourself you're not 100% sure your pump gave you extra insulin, so I'm not sure what to take from your post.

Also, it's always a good idea to carry plenty of your own low treatment items (glucose tabs, etc). You cannot count on a CM getting you something to eat, nor can you count on being able to jump a line to get something fast. I cringe when I read people saying that, because it's quite possibly worst advice anyone can give. You need to be responsible for your own diabetes. No one else.

yes I did call the 1800 number for the pump and there was some unites that I did not bolus for. they had be do somethings to make sure the pump was working fine ( and it is) they said that rides with a lot of G force can cause some insulin to be delivered and said you should always disconnect before going on the rides ( I forgot to and I know this before I even went down as I had called to ask about pump on rides) I had a lot of things for lows with me but they were not enough ( I had about 50 glucose tablets and about 20 packs of smarties but when this happened at 8 pm at night I had eaten some of them. and NO I NEVER meant to rely on the CM for treating lows I was simply saying that they would help you out as a last resort things happen all the time you think you grabbed your low treatment when in fact you did not, you go low and while you are trying to open your glucose container you spill them all ( thank goodness I was at home and had another container ) but sometimes things happen

I just got back from disney and spent about 5 hours at the ER because my pump gave my some insulin when I was on a ride and I went very low I would disconnect on rides ( like Mission to space or such ) I forgot to this time and about an hour and a half latter was very low and could not come up at all ( I am not 100% sure my pump gave me extra insulin but I went for having a 170 unites to 50 in less them a day and a half and I only use 30 unites a day and that is on a big carb day) on another note the ride to the ER is free and you get a free ride home by taxi and if you tell a CM that you are low they will get you something to eat to bring you back up. I have not been to US since DX and with a year pass to WDW I do not plane on going.

What insulin pump do you use?

We use the medtronic too. Never had an issue.
neither have I until my last day but as the person from medtronic said it might have been a one time thing there could have been other things that happened and so on but I will take medtronic advice and disconnect on rides I think could cause a problem with
