Insulin Dependent Diabetic/Syringes

My DH is an insulin dependent diabetic. Is it going to be a problem at security if he has his insulin pen and needles with him? Do we need a doctor's excuse? This might be a silly questions, but we've never been to Disney yet and didn't know if it would be an issue.

If you are carrying insulin with you , it shouldn't be a problem. However, it might not hurt to carry a prescription form from your MD with you.

A friend of mine had to have a letter from her MD stating that she was diabetic etc.

I have never been questioned about my insulin or syringes when entering Disney parks. As a matter of fact, I just flew to California last week from Georgia (and back) and had syringes in my carry on luggage and was never questioned. I did have a prescription with me, just in case, but no one questioned a thing.

At Disney we never had a problem with security letting us in with diabetic supplies. My son also has a Medi-alert necklace on that says he is diabetic to show.

He'll need to carry his insulin in the original package with the prescription label attached to take his supplies through airport security. There shouldn't be any issue with Disney Security.

Make sure he carries his test kit with him to the parks. All that exercise and food can really mess up sugar levels.
