What is the most disgusting, outdated thing you have recently found in a refrigerator? Last week, I was clearing out the office refrigerator, and found a canister of whipped cream with a use-by date of 7-2004. When I turned the thing over, it made sort of a clunking sound. I'm glad it still had the factory seal on it.

My mother had a bottle of Karo syrup in her cupboard from 1978. I threw it away for her, while she protested. I don't care if "it never goes bad". That's just wrong. :rotfl:

Green/black sour cream, about 4 months old.

Just for clarification.....was it a use-by date or was it a best if used-by? Just wondering. We have that argument around my family often. My father is classic for eating things that have a use-by date on them. He said it is "best" if used by and that they are still good long after. I say :crazy2:

I don't know. I was just so grossed out by the thunking in the canister, I just tossed it in the trash. Probably it should have gone into biohazard.
