my house is actually a three story apartment bld.........it wasn't 100 years ago.........it was a first floor and an attic.......in my first floor home now........my front liviing room was used as a showing place when my great grandmother died.......and in the middle living room is where my great uncle was shown when he died.........does this bother me.......NOOOOOo.......it is the live people you have to watch out for......

ITA! Wouldn't bother me. When I was growing up, my Dad's best friend was a funeral director.

Wouldn't bother me in the least. In fact, I'm sure that a couple of the houses I've lived in in my life were used for that purpose, as they were very old.

My dad likes to tell me about when his great grandmother was laid out in his living room, and everyone just went on socializing like she wasn't even there!

My brother in law lives in his house where a murder suicide happened. He did a major remodel to his house after that happened and suprisingly he didn't touch the 2 rooms that this happened in. I find it very spooky to be in the house let alone live there.

I'm sure my house was used for such purposes. This was a common custom back in the 30s and 40s, to lay people out in the family home. Since my house is 100+ years old, I am sure there were a few dead people in it.
