My poor DH is terrified of birds. And wouldn't it figure I have about a dozen chickens. One year he had to "load out" from the state fair because I was busy at my family reunion. I heard from the poultry folk that it was quite a sight to see my husband reaching into the cages to pull out my little gals. Wish I could've witnessed it myself!
Oh, I am afraid of fish too. Dh and I went snorkeling at Castaway Cay and I had to get out of the water. I was so terrified something was going to get me.
I am truly, truly terrified. It's quite commical when they come near me and I am dipping and swooping away from them. As a toddler DD was taught to chase the birds away from mommy.
I am petrified of birds. Geese and pigeons especially. I used to work in Downtown Boston and during lunch the pigeons were always around in large #'s and if somone walked through them and they started to fly near me, I would scream and grab my co-worker's arm. Quite a sight!
Just geese, afraid for the children. We have a pretty bad goose problem in the parks around here, and they are quite agressive. They also crap all over the place making walking downright dangerous.
Yet people keep feeding them thinking it's cute. Same goes for the idiots who insist on feeding the birds in theme parks like WDW.
