How often do you get your hair done? Do you get mani/pedi's or artificial nails, color, extensions..... you get the picture. :goodvibes Or are you a "naural" gal? Just curious. I guess I'm somewhere in the middle. ;)

I am somewhere in the middle. I won't go out of the house without a shower, a little makeup and my hair done, but I only get manicures and pedicures for special occasions and I only highlight my normal hair every once in a while. I also don't insist on name-brand clothing or accessories.

I am also not emotionally needy.

I only get a hair cut maybe once every 4 months or so. Longer if I don't want to drastically change the length or style. I get a pedicure maybe once every month or two. I never get manicures because they just don't last long enough. However my husband would probably say that in the appearance department I am failry high maintenance. It takes a LONG time to do my hair and get it the way I want it because I have to fight the curly mess to get it nice and smooth and sleek, and I put a fair amount of time into my makeup which has a lot of components. I'm definitely not a gloss and go type of girl, but I also don't spend a lot of money on anything that I include in my process. I never get any hair coloring done. I dye my own maybe once or twice a year max. I am very into fashion but never buy full price clothes. Probably 95% of my wardrobe is from thrift stores. I am also not emotionally needy or crazy which can be associated with high maintenance girls.

I get highlights twice a year and wear makeup typically everyday (except the weekends when I just want to lay in bed!!).

I rarely get my nails done but love to get them done!

I wouldn't say I was super high maintenance but I certainly don't mind pampering myself, within reason!

Not very!

When I wear makeup, it takes about 5 minutes to apply (eyeliner, shadow & blush, sometimes mascara). My hair, it depends. I get it colored every 6 weeks because I'm going gray. I just get a trim because it's pretty long. When I style it, it can take anywhere from 5 minutes when I leave it curly, to 20 minutes when I straighten it.

I don't always wear makeup and I certainly don't have to wear it to leave the house.

I think I am right in the middle. I get my hair cut every 4 weeks. Manicure 2x (I do not have acrylics) a month. Pedi 1x a month. Facial 1x every 3-4 months. Wear minimal make-up daily. That's about it. :goodvibes

That's me too. I have blonde hair and get highlights once every few months and a cut about every two months. I rarely get a manicure, usually just do it myself. Most of the women in my office have artificial nails and I'm thinking am I being cheap or something? I just think that seems like alot of time and $$. But I have to admit they look nice.

I like getting my toes done, but right now, I'm not spending the money on that. My nails are so weak, that theres no point to getting them done, unless I get gels, and I'm NOT spending the money on that right now.
I've just decided to totaly dye my hair (rather than the highlights that I normally get). There are pros and cons to it.
Dye - Only $60 - $55 for touch ups
Highlights - About $125
Dye - Have to go every 6-8 weeks
Highlights - Every 4-6 months.

My mascara is semi expencive at $10 (sephora brand and it ROCKS!) and I wear it along with eye liner every single day. I really need a new tube, but I'm scraping this one till I get out to that mall.

My husband says I'm a low maintenance girl. I don't color my hair, I don't need manicures, I don't buy shoes, I don't shop at the mall. I collect buy-1-get-1 free coupons for lunch at our favorite restaurants. I'd rather camp than stay in a hotel. My only vice is a pedicure every 4-5 weeks (I'm addicted to red toenails!) and I need an occasional massage to keep me happy. :hippie:

I'm extremely low maintenance.. got highlights once and hated it. Only ever got my nails done for prom. I had my first manicure two weeks ago and wasn't impressed - won't be doing that again. I'm almost ashamed to admit that I realized today I haven't had a haircut in over a year.. :rolleyes1 I just don't see much of a point in getting all dolled up - for me, personally, anyway. I'm in college, I'm a QA specialist at a very casual call center, so it's jeans and t-shirts every day at work.

I will say, though, that the things I'm "high maintenance" about are the more expensive things.. I like to have a nice purse, nice shoes, and nice makeup - when I wear it.

I do my toenails myself. Fingernails always break so my feeling is, why bother?

The only thing I am meticulous about is my hair. I go back for my highlights touch-up as soon as I start to see them growing out a tiny bit.

I'm a hair girl and get it done every 5 weeks. I get colored or highlights and cut/trimmed. At this point I don't need my nails done, but I do like to keep them trim and clear polish on them. I wear mascara and liner every day with some lipgloss. I stay at home so when I go shopping, I like to do my hair and put on make up. It's like going out to work for me. There's plenty of days when I don't need to put it on, so going out is a treat to myself.

I am very low maintenance. The only thing I do is get my nails done once a month, gels, and that is because my therapist told me a few years ago to do soemthing just for me! And since my nails were weak and always breaking, the gels fixed that! I now have strong nails that look nice :).

I wear make up only on special occassions, same for hair...it is long and I just wash it and let it air dry. I do need a trim though. I just hate hair dressers!! I am a jeans girl and can wear them to work with sneakers :).

I guess I am no maintenance. I don't wear make up, nail polish, perfum, hair product. I get my hair cut once or twice a year, no colour ever. I am not greying yet but even then won't bother. I usually do the wal-mart for clothes. I love the George line.

I LOVE to get my hair cut. My hair grows really fast, so I'm able to feed my addiction about every two months.... I use to highlight my hair every 4-5 months, but I grew my highlights out because I could no longer rationalize spending $200.00 a treatment. I do get my nail done (hands and feet) twice a month, but I am a nervous nail biter and it helps keep me from biting.... I wear makeup to work and if we go out in the evening, but I spend plenty of times natural....
I would say that when it comes to the day -to- day routine I am pretty low maintenance..... I shower, get ready and am out the door in about 35- 45 minutes everyday... Fortunately I don't have to do anything to my hair besides wash and brush it.... I leave for work with wet hair.:rotfl:

When I have a choice I am very low maintenance, i.e. days I don't go to work :lmao:.

My hair grows very fast so I have to get it cut every 5 weeks-I should go every 4 but I just fight it for a week. I have been "blessed" with bad genetics and would be mostly gray so I do color my hair every 5 weeks-get the roots touched up really. I wish I didn't have to do that, but I am vain enough not to want to be totally gray before I am 50.

I wear makeup when I have to work, not much, foundation, eyeliner, mascara and blush. I don't have a "skin care" program or anything like that. On weekends I might put on some eyeliner, maybe.

I like the look of longer nails, hate the upkeep. I get a couple pedicures/summer because my heals crack and bleed if I don't.

I will take a massage ANYTIME though :thumbsup2.

I am extremely low-maintenance, especially since I've been growing my hair out to donate it.

I've never had a manicure, pedicure, facial, or massage. The only time I colored my hair was in college when I did it myself.

Pretty low-maintenance:

Hair - trimmed when the ends start to split. (No color.)

Nails - professional manicure once a year (vacation tradition), but usually just polish them myself, if at all.

5-minute make-up routine - essential for work or meetings, but I'm not afraid to run to the grocery store without it.

I would call myself easily high maintenance with a "no fuss" twist.

I get my hair cut, colored and highlighted every five weeks. I have short hair because it's quicker in the morning, but it grows fast so I have to make sure it's cut regularly or it looks messy quick. I wait for sales at ULTA so I can stock up on my favorite shampoo, Matrix Amplify XL

I do my own manicures and pedicures because I can't be bothered with nail salons. I keep them extremely short But they always have a base coat, two coats of color, and a top coat. Plus I have around 20 bottles of OPI for variety. :rolleyes1

I do like makeup, that is obvious from my 100+ comments on the makeup clique thread. I think it takes me 15 minutes to do my face.

My sister is a message therapist so if I call her up, I can get THE BEST message in town! I hate to impose on her though, so I don't do that too often.

And lastly, I work at a Plastic Surgeon's office, so I have been known to pick up a laser hair removal session, and some skin tightening on my neck, and possibly Latisse for my eyelashes and some filler for the lines around my mouth when there is time or nice sales rep comes in.

Oh, and I just recently treated myself to a eyebrow waxing last month on a whim. I liked it! I may have to add it occasionally when I get my hair done. princess:

Hair blown straight every Friday at the salon.
Massage once a week.
Mani/pedi every two weeks, my own nails neatened up.
Eyelash dye every 4 months, so no mascara needed.
Eyebrow wax every two months.
RoC home facial once a week.
Noxema wash every night followed by Milk Comfort Moisturizer.
Tinted lip balm with SPF, and RoC Sunscreen on my face daily, even in winter.
No other makeup.
I wear jewelry every day, but it takes only two minutes to select and put on.
I love fashion/clothes/shoes/handbags and by keeping them well organized, it only takes me ten minutes to be ready.

I'm mid maintenance.:cool2:
