Have you ever given in to a high pressure salesman and bought something you really didn't want?
When Dh and I were in college we had a Kentucky Central Life Insurance salesman come to our apartment and stay for 2-3 hours. We finally bought the insurance even though we clearly didn't need it. Still while in college, I did some programming for an independent insurance agent who was wonderful. I told him about the policy and he looked at it and told me to cancel immediately. I did.
I was 19 and learned a valuable lesson as to how to handle high pressure salesman. The situation has come up many times since then but I remember that expensive lesson and have no problem saying NO.
Anyone else give in and regret it later?
