Inspired by the Jiko...Thread

Would you trade an ADR at Flying Fish for an ADR at Jiko instead? Using DxDP and both are two credits, so even trade in that regard.

We love both restaurants. In fact eating at both in October.
I think it really depends which menu interests you more.
If I had to choose, I would go with Flying Fish only because i like their wine list better (while different, I like both menus equally for different reasons). Food at both places has been good every time we've been there.

Yes! We have fined at both recently and while FF was good, Jiko was excellent.

I would, I prefer the wine list, food, and ambiance at Jiko, that said, go with the menu that appeals to you more.

Have had Flying Fish booked on arrival day since 180 days out, but all this talk of how wonderful Jiko is got me thinking ...
Mind you, I still think FF would be great, but based on all the two credit Signatures we have booked, FF made the most sense to eliminate scheduling wise.

We will arrive at POFQ around 10:00 am and head to Epcot to sample a few items at F&W. FP+ for Soarin' and Living with the Land up until 3:45ish. From there we will head back to the room (if not ready on arrival), or stay at Epcot a bit longer. Not quite sure about this part of the plan - we will see how things pan out at the time. ADR at FF was 6:00 so had planned on dinner then walking the Boardwalk for a little while before heading back to the room.

Now that we have ADR at Jiko at 6:20 we will just hang out at AKL before the ADR and a little while after depending on how we feel. AKL has lots of little nooks in which to grab a seat, chat and people watch. Ultimately, I think the ambiance at Jiko/AKL will be a great way to start our first night
(two adults) verses Boardwalk that never seems to be hopping.

Gah!! I should probably just stay away from this section of the forum for a while.

Jiko! Hands down without question one of our best meals on property back in April. We haven't liked FF since they changed the menu during their reno.

If I had to choose, I'd go with Flying Fish. We had good service at Jiko but just o.k.food, which for the price was not o.k. We had bad service at FF but good food, considering we paid less there than Jiko's we were willing to put up with the less than stellar service. Did love the bar as both places though.

This is one of the hardest choices I have ever commented on via the boards. Honestly, I would say go with whatever works logistically better with your itinerary. If you plan on spending the day at EC then FF. If you are at AK then Jiko. I mean wow either way you will enjoy.
