Driver Clocked at 182 MPH
LEHIGHTON, PA-September 2, 2003 — A Schuylkill County man was charged Sunday with driving 182 miles per hour through holiday traffic near Lehighton.
According to The Patriot News of Harrisburg, 35-year-old William Faenza of Andreas was clocked during a holiday enforcement detail along Route 443 in Carbon County. He tried to elude police before the heavy traffic forced him to slow down and surrender.

Officers believe it was the fastest anyone was ever caught driving in that county.

Faenza was operating a Lamborghini Diablo at the time.

He is facing charges that include driving under the influence, resisting arrest, fleeing and eluding police, reckless endangerment and speeding.

Faenza was released after posting bail.

This guy is actually a police sheriff's son or something like that! I just can't believe that anyone feels the urge or need to drive that fast. I wonder what it would feel like to hit a bug at that speed?!

If you had watched a recent edition of "American Chopper" you will know that if you remove the muffler and bore out the opening you will increase your speed of your moped, but I don't think you'll be able to get to 205 mph.
