THANK YOU for that picture of the Alfredo desserts, AUTUMN SUN. As you know from my "I pick restaurants for their desserts" thread, desserts usually push me to make that ADR. However, Alfredo's didn't have any desserts listed over at allears, and I was worried (the family wanted to try Italy this year). I now know I will survive this dinner!

Also, that griddled pound cake was good according to DD, but the CARMEL TART I had at LLT at lunch, the one with the shortbread crust, was to die for!!!

Anyone have a picture of that! I'll make it my screensaver!!!!!!!

Pound cake is a very very dense yellow, golden cake. Very buttery...if you like that sort of thing. You bake it in a loaf pan (don't know if you call it the same thing in the UK, but it looks like a small loaf of bread ). Apparently, the pound cake was a British creation! The name comes from the fact that the original recipe called for about a pound of everything (butter, sugar, flour, etc). Nowadays, the pound cake just weighs about a pound, though you feel like you gained 5 from eating it!

I'm on a "crash" diet hoping to drop a few lbs before I head to WDW in 2 weeks... cause I know when I get there I'll be indulging in some of these... and those lbs will come right back!

However, looking at this thread makes the current dieting MUCH more difficult! *crunches carrot*

i want to lose some weight before my trip too and i wonder if you actually gain weight when you go to wdw since you do all that walking every day for days at a time....interesting
