I got my phone last year, so I was 12.
It's on a plan with unlimited texting, which I hardly used at all.

I got my first cell phone at 8, but it was the firefly phone which can only call your mom,dad,and 911. It was stupid and I hardly ever used it.

My first real phone I got when I was about 10 or 11 but it couldn't call or text because it was really stupid haha.

I'm 12 now and i'm on a plan and i have unlimited text messaging.

I got my first phone when I was 14 (my freshman year), and it was a purplish pink razor by Verizon and I seriously thought I was the crap. hahah
I just got a new phone, and it's the enV2 and I'm in love with it.
I'm on a family plan with unlimited texting...now. lol

it was prepaid and nothing was on color, everything was in black and white.

It was a standard blah phone.

I'm really against kids having phones young.
The 10 year old that I tutor has one, and all he does is brag about it and play his ringtones. It's one of THE most annoying things.

My little sisters are 10, and they beg for phones non-stop.
But I'm completely with my parents on this issue. They won't get them until they're 12 or 13, at the earliest.

I got mine the summer between 7th & 8th grade (I was 13) and it was a 2 year plan and I had a white flip phone. It was family plan. No texts. I thought was so awesome.

14th birthday. I'm now 14 1/2. I really had no need for a phone before 14, so
I now have the LG Titanium Voyager <3. I'm a female too

I was 12, and it was a bare bones pre-paid. I only got it for field hockey, my buses were ALWAYS late and my mom would spend hours in the parking lot waiting to pick me up.
