That is rather hard. My top favorite of course is Titanic.

Life is Beautiful

Not sure if it's the best movie I've ever seen but it's the one that touched me the most personally.

Don't know about the best but last night I saw Hotel Rwanda, probably the most moving movie I've ever seen

:rotfl: other then #7 I haven't heard of or seen any of them...

I've got a tie for the top and they couldn't be more different:

Beauty and the Beast (Disney version) - I get more flack for this one, since I'm a guy, but it really is a perfect movie. Great story, great songs, great animation, truly emotional. A great film

--and--

Psycho - Love it. Twisted, wicked, great performances, and directed by the best director of all time. "We all go a little crazy sometimes..."

ohh...I have a little list too

Gone With the Wind and Sound of Music-tie for all time favorites
Silence of the Lambs-fav horror
English Patient and The End of an Affair-fav romantic/lost love
Toy Story-fav animated
The Nutty Professor-fav comedy

Its a tough choice for me, because I'm a movie buff and I've seen so many great movies in my lifetime, but if hard pressed to pick just one I'd have to go with To Kill A Mockingbird. It had such an impact on me when I first saw it and continues to be an inspiration everytime I've seen it thereafter.

My favorite just for fun movie would be Love Actually. I've seen that movie probably 10-15 times and I never tire of it.

My favorite family oriented movie is Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Chris Columbus was criticized after the latest HP movie came out (Prisoner of Askaban, had a different director) that his movie was too simple, but thats precisely what I liked about it. Purely magical. :) Another one I've seen countless times and never tire of. :goodvibes

OK, what happened to Sports Night? I use to get up at 2am on the weekends to watch that on Comedy Central until I got the box set!!! I miss seeing it on you list!!!

I also agree with Beauty and the Beast, it is the most perfect animated film I have ever seen, the ballroom dance brought tears to my eyes!!!

Jurassic Park is my favorite- I'd say I've seen it about 15 times and I'll never get tired of it.

Pretty Woman, Runaway Bride, Closer, Mystic Pizza, Steel Magnolias...

To Kill a Mockingbird, Shawshank Redemption, Legend of the Fall and Bridges of Madison County.
