I think the fact that they offer cheap merchandise is great. From what the media says, though they don't treat their employees very fairly, so if possible I try and go to Target instead. The Wal Marts I've been don't seem to be very clean and could use some major updating or something. So I don't really know if I like them or not. I definetly like Target much better, though.

It's okay.
The employee's aren't always that nice though, some of them are really grumpy.

I like most of the stuff they sell, they have pretty decent prices too. It's not my favorite place to shop but it's nice

I've heard that they don't treat their employees well. If it's true, then no. The fact that they have good prices is awesome, though. I really don't go there that much.

I like it,my mom loves it.They treat their employees decent(have had a bunch of family work their in highschool)in the store.The distribution place is sucky to work for.

The nearest Wal*Mart to us...if full with freaks. I shop there because prices are awesome, but at the same time I try like heck to get out lol. The stories of encounters with some of these people are endless and disturbing. I try to like the place...it saves me money...but that is near impossible...if only you guys knew, saw, witnessed the things we have so inadvertently observed ...if only lol.

the reason the employees are grumpy? wal-mart doesn't give a crap about their employees. my brother worked there, ended up working wayyyy past the malls operating hours, & they fired him after X-mas.

i go there sometimes for flip flops. or shampoo. or make-up.. or any other sort of toiletry. not clothes. or shoes.

But there isn't a union. Thus the result being, as stated before, long hours, low pay...etc.

It's actually why their prices are so low.

as i mentioned in my post above.
Wal-Mart stays open way past the mall. the mall closes at nine, but they don't close till ten, and then it's 11 when the employees get to leave. and they hire more around X-mas, and fire you after boxing week.

Arg, WalMart the devil's spawn in shopping... Do not ever shop at the ones where I live. Cincinnati ain't the best place. Target might get worse business, but we will always choose Target hands down. Our WalMarts have sanitary issues. Bad ones. Half of their toilets were clogged. The employees were having a flick-off contest, and pretty much everyone there wanted to kill you. Only reason why we go there: Cheap cookies for my dad's work. Yes... cheap cookies are a reason to be nearly killed.

Wal*Mart is the one stop shop that meets all your needs. You can buy clothes, eat, get groceries, get your hair cut, get your perscriptions filled, and many other things there. Wal*Mart is a very nice place for people who need many different things at one time. Instead of running to JCPenny for some clothing, Weis or Martins or some food, Hair Cuttery or Master Cuts to get your hair cut, you can do it all at Wal*Mart without even moving your car. Pretty nifty, huh?

i totally agree...........and when you say "some" employees are really grumpy, try "most employees are really grumpy........at least here in ohio they are......
