All I can say is that it's a good thing that I don't keep my credit cards in my bedroom at night....
When I have trouble sleeping when DH is out of town, I usually end up watching infomercials to put me back to sleep. At 3 a.m., I think I could be talked into almost anything, LOL!!
I've bought Oxyclean (at BJ's) and I bought that black plate that defrosts your food quickly. The plate, while not doing it in 5 mins, does speed up defrosting quite a bit.
There is a store in Gattlinburg called " as seen on TV "and DH and I bought a few things and none of them worked I will never buy anything out ofthe store or off TV because of the things not working if it is good enough it will go on the main market. So I wil play the waait and see game. If it makes it to the main market then I will buy it if I want it.
Ha! I'm just like Disneyaholic can't sleep? What to watch but infomercials!...
I've bought Oxyclean, Orange Glo...(at Sams) and I just bought walk away the pounds (at sams too..)...but I saw them on TV first...Like all of the products so far.
Well, I am 2 for 2...but I didn't actually order either of them from the TV....I got them at Claires.
1. The Turbo Twisti...I love this product, both my daughter and I use them when we get out of the shower, to wrap our hair up. I could probably make my own, for a fraction of the cost, from terry cloth towels, but that's never gonna happen!
2. Wrap-Snap&Go. These are the long, soft rollers for your hair. DD loves for me to put her hair up in these, before she goes to bed. Again, I could probably just use socks, because it's kinda the same idea, but these are a little easier.
I've never been the least bit tempted by any of the cooking related ones....I hate to cook so I'm SURE they don't work as advertised!
I don't remember the formal name but I bought those dusters that get into hard to reach places and helps to "magnetize" the dust. When dirty you just shake it (outside of course) and it comes clean.
I love Oxy-Clean but I buy it at Walmart or Sam's. I've never ordered anything off of the infomercials.
This thread made me think of my Dad. When I was growing up my Dad couldn't resist a "gadgety thing", I'm pretty sure he sent the Ronco owner's kid through college We had their bottle cutter It was sort of an early form of recycling....we were going to cut off all of our pop bottles to make drinking glasses We also had, among other things, the "buttoneer", no one ever figured out how to use it either
Anyone else remember those things?
