Yes, it's true..there is a distinct connection between baseball and pins...I've discovered that there are just six degrees of separation between them. For example:

Leslie falls for a guy named Tim

Tim is a lifelong New York Yankees fan

Yankees sign Bucky Dent

who goes on to become 1978 World Series MVP after game winning 3 run homer in the 7th inning of play-off game against Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park

Leslie hangs hunky Bucky Dent poster next to Mickey Mouse poster from Florida in her dorm room at college

World renowned Bucky Dent's Baseball Camp is located in Delray Beach, Florida

Delray Beach, Florida is home to friend and fellow pin collector Robin, aka perndwler

(PS. I own two baseball pins...A Cincinnati Reds pin (where I spent the longest year of my life...apologies to anyone from Cinti) and a Yankees pin (of course) )

Mom and I just got back from a quick last minute trip to WDW, before I start my new job tomorrow, and I find this cool thread while perusing the board!

Leslie, how cool is that! I was a Bucky Dent/ Yankees fan back in the 70's! Being from Philly originally, the Phillies were/are my National League team and the Yankees (Dad was from Brooklyn) my American League team!

I never knew his camp was down here............... I'm gonna have to lookin for it! Thanks GF!!!

Okay, here goes:

1. I used to have a Bucky Dent baseball card.

2. Most of my old baseball cards are now owned by my son.

3. My son also owns baseball cards passed down from my husband.

4. My husband is from the Philly area and is a diehard Phillies fan.

5. Robin is also from the Philly area.

6. Robin is separated from Leslie by six degrees.

7. Leslie lives in CT like me.

So wait...does this mean I'm separated from Leslie by 7 degrees or 1 degree?
