My DH had to switch jobs a few years ago so he won't be retiring until he's 63. I want to retire at 60.

Both my brothers are full-time teachers and will be retiring at 55....how lucky for them!!!

Then I plan on finding a job VERY close to home.

No plans to retire. I think that they'll probably just carry me out of the hospital . Experience is the greatest teacher in medicine. I'm a much better clinician today than I was 15 years ago, and I'm sure that I'll be even more skilled in another 15 years ..... I truly love my work, but it is a very JEALOUS and DEMANDING MISTRESS ..........

DH plans on retiring from the Federal Gov't. when he's 55, and I don't know how he's going to do it....he's one of those people that needs to keep going all the time.

He'll probably get a part-time job just to say busy after he retires...I sure hope so, because he'll drive me crazy!

I, on the other hand, never really gave it much thought. When he's 55, I'll be 51.....I'm sure I'll be working somewhere, even if it's only part-time, like I am now.

DH will retire whenever he is ready.....but he loves his work, so it could be a long time

I'm already retired and loving it. I "retired" at age 46 (but I don't get paid)

I hope to retire when I'm 55. But the way the market is destroying my 401K the "Frog Retirement Program" is looking more realist. That's the one where you retire when you "croak".

Hopefully I can retire when I am 52 after 30 years at work (full works pension). DH will have another 3 years to go!! Looks like I may be a lady of leisure for a few years alone. Seriously though when we retire we want to emigrate to Florida or similar, unless I win the lottery before then!!!!!
