My Rival is almost 25 years old and has just the high and low settings. I just used it today to make some chocolate nutty candy.

Chocolate nutty candy, hmmm. In a crock pot? Please, I must know more about this! Would you share a recipe?

Just replaced my Rival of 16 yrs. there was nothing wrong with it - it just wasn't presentable anymore - LOL the paint was peeling off on the outside a bit & I didn't want to take it to the last party cause it wasn't pretty enough.

Dh bought the Hamilton Beech one from WM for cheap - like $15.

My Rival Crockpot is 34 years old and still going strong. A chip here and there, but works great.
I have another newer one I don't like half as much. I just wish the old one was bigger...
