Have you ever cried while listening to a song that shouldn't necessarily make you cry???

Here is my story: I was on my way to pick my oldest child at swim practice and I was changing the radio stations, and a song that I have not heard in many many moons came on, "Rhinestone Cowboy" by Glen Campbell and I sat there and just bawled my eyes out...It made me think of my brother who now lives in FL - so there I was calling my brother on his cell phone leaving him a message that I was thinking about him that sounded like I was in hysterics - he actually got concerned and call our mother to make sure I was ok...... :rotfl2:

Anyone else????

:rotfl2: Now you know, ever time I hear "Rhinestone Cowboy" i am going to be laughing hysterically and no one I with will "get it". :rotfl2:

I'm embarrassed to admit this.

First of all, I hate country music. And second of all, I'm an atheist. So why does that one stupid Garth Brooks song tear me up -- something about unanswered prayers??? :rotfl2:

That's it.

I'm a closet Christian country fan! :scared: :faint:

as long as I have brightened one persons day it was all worth it -

regarding "unanswered prayers" - not neccessarially (?sp) a christian/country song - but I do think it speaks to everyone!!! shhhh it makes me cry also - makes me think of my DH

I have done the same thing too. And thank you for this thread of a Glen Campbell song. I had totally forgotten that I wanted to download "Witchita Lineman" for the ipod.

I was flipping through the channels at home one night while DH was at work and there was a Top 100 country love songs (I think) and I sat there and bawled like a baby because they so reminded me of my dad. It was all the music he and my mom listened to when I was growing up. He has been gone for 10 years now and sometimes out of the blue something like this will remind me how much I miss him. :sad1:

The Kenny Rogers song "The Gambler" I have no idea why but I cry like a baby everytime I hear it.
