I've thought about getting a small rose/vine/stars tattooed above my right ankle. I figured it's a safe place to have one, I mean, how far can an ankle sag? I'm still thinking about it...

That's what he told me crazyme5kids, but that doesn't make any sense to me. If it hurt like anything, but I wanted it, why would it matter to him how much it was hurting me, if I was stupid enough to go through with it after being warned. LOL!

I have enough cushion on my backside though (unfortunatley ), so a pair of lips there shouldn't hurt in the least bit. LOL!

the only tattoo procedure I have ever given any thought to would be to have permanent eyeliner tattooed on my eyelids. I would be too afraid that they would mess up and ruin my eyesight though.

A very dear friend of mine has a beautiful Celtic cross on his thigh. (and, he is Lithuanian! hee hee hee). I love the design and if I were ever to get a tatoo, that is what it would be. DH would hate it, so this aforementioned friend would have to come along for 2 reasons, one to be the model, and 2, to hold my hand.

But I am a big wimpy girl, so it's not going to happen

I already have a rose and a butterfly (and after 8 yrs, have never regretted it) , but, would really like to get a Mickey of some sort on my upper back.

I really like the idea of the three circles that make Mickey. It's different.

DH has always wanted to get a tiger tattoo. I, of course, would go for a cute Garfield tattoo on the back of my shoulder. It would have to be somewhere I could show it off easily, but also be able to cover it up if I had to.
A friend I work with has a little Kermit head on her left ankle, Kermit sitting on a rock with little fishes jumping around on her right upper arm, Timon in a hula skirt above her left breast, and now a Mushu on her right calf! Okay, now that I looked at everything I just typed about her, she sounds like a freak, but she is super nice and her tattoos fit her personality!

If I were to get one, (which I would love to do!!!) it would be what Ive always wanted...one of those huge (not too huge, but noticeable) butterflies on my lower back. I think it would be beautiful...have the design in my head, just have to jot it down sometime. I know it would hurt, but it would be so pretty. Id like an anklet of daisies on me left ankle but that pain would probably kill me!!!

A friend on mine in high school has a Mickey shoulder & Goofy somewhere. Her Mom has Mickey & Minnie on her back & was gonna get Donald & Daisy.

Saffron, I guess it just depends on each persons tolerance of pain. Mine didn't hurt too much, but honestly it was more painful when her was working on the more fleshy area of my back. When he was working over my spin I knew exactly what he was drawing/carving (is that what you call it?), but it wasn't painful, just a little uncomfortable. I wanted to have it put on my stomach on the right side, but he said that area would be painful. I love my tatoo, and will probably get another one someday.

i have a garter belt of moons and stars going about 2/3 of the way around my thigh. i like where i got it because it can be hidden. no one knows i have it unless i show them. or wear short shorts.

it hurts less over top of muscle. just uncomfortable there. but the really fleshy areas hurt really bad!!! but i have no tolerance for pain so that may explain it.

Well, I'm opening myself up to having someone commit me....but I've asked myself this question..."What if someone kidnapped me and FORCED me to get a tatoo?" (that would be the only way I would get one)

So, I have a prepared answer...it would be a chain of ivy around my ankle. But now that I'm reading that that is a very painful area, maybe I'll change my mind!

I like the idea of the three-circled Mickey head. Then you and SO could play "Find the Hidden Mickey"hehehehehe
