(inspired by "Crazy" thread) How long have you been Disney Obsessive?

Was it "from birth" / family inspired or kinda your own thing / just happened and know one understands it .

For me, My mom an her family lived on the Space Coast most of the time that my aunts and uncle grew up. So they went to the MK (i think possible they went when in opened) and my mother & aunts also worked at the MK (which inspired me to work there to, on Main Street, like they did )
My grandparents then moved around the country a bit, and now they live near cape canaveral again. Also my parents moved out to CA when i was born..about an hour south of DisneyLand heehee. So whether i was home or visiting grandparents in the summer i have been near disney, and i think we went to one or the other at least once a year.

So, for me (22 years old) it was from birth for sure, someone has a sillouette from main street from when i was 1. Although i did come out the worst off, i can't get enough of Disney where as everyone else wants to go to Islands of Adventure for the coasters i'm like u want coasters then go find yourself a Six Flags and do it right! give me my Play 4 Days pass and i'm happy for the year!

My family had been to WDW twice, probably, before I became obsessive. It was planning for the 3rd trip that it happened. EPCOT had just opened and I was 12. I found all the information I could on the new park (a mean feat before the internet), and poured through every bit of it. I was fascinated with the idea of the World Showcase (I think we had recently been to the World's Fair in Knoxville, and I had been disappointed with what I saw). The obsession began to show itself when I began to write a short story about me and my 6 friends at EPCOT. It was sort of a fantasy about all of us being let loose in the park and our wacky adventures, running into crazy people, solving a mystery, etc. I think the climax with a chase of rickshaws around the World Showcase

Now, I'm a pusher, trying to pass on my obsession to others. I have friends coming over tonight for dinner, and we are going to plan a couples trip for next Dec. Maybe I'll get inspired and make some Disney themed food.

Our first trip together was in 1986. My wife had been to the Magic Kingdom once years earlier and we went with friends who had been there. My wife was very worried I wouldn't like it since I had a bit of a reputation for being very serious most of the time.

Well, not only did I like it, but I can't get enough of if. Everyone who's been there with me says I'm a different person there. I just love the atmosphere.
