Chuck Cunningham from Happy Days that is

I noticed on Life with Bonnie her eldest daughter is now gone with no explaination:confused:

Any other shows this happened on?

on King of Queens Carrie originally had a sister that lived with them

That Chuck Cunningham disappearance always bothered me as a child.:o

Yes on Family Matters the Winslow's youngest daugther.
Also for the first couple of episodes of the Cosby Show they didn't have an older daughter.

On Family Matters (the show with Urkle), the youngest dd just disappeared one day and never came back, and I don't think she was ever mentioned again.

This is the one I remembered also. :)

On That 70s Show Donna had a younger sister in the first season.

on Bonanza, there were 3 Cartwright borthers -- Adam, Hoss and Little Joe. when Pernell roberts left the show, they said "Adam is on a business trip to San Francisco." and he never came back! llater, Ben would make reference to his "two sons.'

and on "My three Sons", the oldest, Mike, got married and moved away, and Steve adopted Ernie. and you never heard about Mike again.

On Boy Meets World, Morgan (the little sister) disappeared for a season and then came back as a different actress.

When the new actress made her first appearance Corey asked where she had been... her reply "In my room -- That was the longest time-out ever"

How about the complete reverse on "Cosby Show" --

Claire -- "Why do we have four children?"
Cliff -- "Because we didn't want five."

That was on the very first episode. A couple of months later oldest daughter Sondra comes home for Thanksgiving.

I think there was a daughter who disappeared from the old Danny Thomas Show in the 50s.

And what happened to Tiger and Fluffy from the Brady Bunch????

On Roseanne, the oldest daughter Becky left then a new actress replaced her. Then she came back again.

I think they actually made a joke about it once at the end of an episode.

Tiger on the Brady Bunch was always there.... Don't you remember the episode where they think that Jan is allergic to Tiger, but it turns out to be she is allergic to his flea powder? (I know.... I need to get a life!) Not sure where Fluffy went.... maybe to the pound after the fiasco at the wedding!..................P

Not a tv show but a comic strip, in Zits Jeremy had an older brother who was away at college, he made occcasional visits home. Haven't seen him in at least a year or two, I think he's gone the way of Chuck.

The real Tiger actually got hit by a car and died.:( After that, they just left the doghouse on the set to cover a burn mark on the astroturf lawn.

Yeah, Brady Bunch geek here.;)

worse than a missing character -- how about when they change the actor in the show and he looks nothing like the original? at least in Roseanne the substitute Becky was a blonde, just like the roiginal. in the Partidge Family, the second Chris was blonde, but the original had dark hair.

The one that bugs me is That 70's Show. When Laurie left (due to a Vicodan addiction in real life), I wish they would have replaced her. Her character was so vital to the "stress factor" in the Forman household. It's just not the same without her there all the time.

I thought Laurie was back (and married to Fez) with a new actress rather than the one from previous seasons. But then, I haven't seen the last few episodes.

Could be, I haven't seen the last few either.
