I admit it. I'm useless in those jobs typically done by men. I do refill my own window squirt stuff though. My DH is a great seamstress. (He even sews ribbons on ballet shoes) Whenever DD needs something sewn, she goes to him - I'm terrible with a needle and thread.

I can read a map, ask directions, and know which way is north/south/east/west! DH is the worst!:p

I'm usually the one who puts things together. I used to be the sole handyman around the house, but Gene has gotten much better over the years.

I once put a glider together! :teeth: (A walking exercise machine.)

As I was growing up, my goal to myself was that I would never be "helpless" (that's how it was considered when I was growing up and I'm not that old). So I made sure my dad showed me how to change the oil in the car, change the tires on the car (and rotate them), I mowed lawn, I painted, etc. So yes, I can do anything a male can do and it came in extremely handy when I was divorced - no man was going to able to do it for me so I had to do and I'll be darned....I WAS going to be able to do it!!!

I can drive a motorcycle. I can do minor mechanical stuff on a car and motorcycle, but I usually leave it to my husband to do).

And my job is one traditionally done by men in the industry. I sometimes work on offshore oil platforms.

I can do anything that a man can do. I even learned how to pee standing up... with the aid of a snowcone cup with the bottom cut out. (Some of the toilet facilities in Russia left alot to be desired.) :bounce:

Now there's a talent you don't hear of everyday. ;)

Not sure if this qualifies, but I have brokered political deals quite handily-I once got people from opposing campaigns to join forces. Also got a campaign co-ordinator from a major campaign to back down from causing trouble at a large political function in my town. My first contact with most politicos is usually over the phone- when they meet me in person for the first time they are usually surprised to see a very petite woman;)

Hmm.. I used to install PC's and workstations. I can cut network cable and put on the ends..

I can change a tire, talk car, and drive stick shift... (I can't tell you how many woman I know that CANT drive stick!)

My DH though is the ironing whiz! He can iron fantastically!

There's lots that wouldnt get done at our house if I waited for DH to do it. I know tomorrow morn before work I'll be out there undigging the mailbox!

I like doing yard work. However every time I try to mow the lawn, the lawnmower either breaks or runs out of gas.

DH knows how to sew(thank God for the army), and I cant sew a button.

Kelsie! LOL! :teeth:

Oh yeah (hear that GP? :bounce: ;) )! IF I want to. :)

I think I can do anything and I want to help out anyway I can -- just not with cars. Bah!

I hung my own storm doors in my old house (by myself and without any direction), helped dig the area for my pool, resurfaced the driveway by myself, put in window air conditioning units by myself etc. I'm willing to do anything I can to help out, as long as there isn't a lot of fighting about it. If there is, I'd rather go bake a cake or do my hair. ;) :p :bounce:

each hunting season and I am one good shot.....I am not patting myself on the back.....but I am one of the 90 percent of the hunters that get a deer 90 percent of the time......I have not had a bad season in the last five......I usually only use one bullet and it is usually a one shot deal.......now my hubby is just as successful and he is also the seamstress in the house....if something needs sewing or hemming it is him that gets out my singer and fixes it up......

I can leave dirty socks on the floor, dishes in the sink, and the toilet seat up!:p

my mother was one of those "helpless females" sort of woman. my father was a marine. and after the corps a long haul truck driver. so he wasnt around much. sometimes he would be gone for up to 6 months. someone had to be able to fix things and put things together. so i learned. comes in handy now though.
