Inspired by being a thread highjacker- the OT thread!

Is there a "YAWN" smilie? Because I need one. Gee whiz. I'm exhausted.

I cried all day today- yeah, this is going to be a fun ride for DH! :teeth:

I cried all through Babies'R'Us- I'm such a geek. :cheer2: Let's hear it for HORMONES!

Babies'R'us makes me nervous. I'd cry too. I once got lost in there a few months back looking for something on a registry. A few hours later, I left with one blanket and one diaper bag.

Make sure you take naps when you can. Thats what saved me.

Yeah- I can tell already that I'll be a big fan of naps from here on out. I usually don't like to take naps- never really have. BUT, that's all gonna change!

Anyway- I have got to get my butt into bed, or I'll never make it to work tomorrow.

I'm actually kinda nervous about the whole work/morning sickness thing- I won't have been there long enough to be covered by FMLA, so I hope that they are understanding if I need them to be. So far so good, just a little queasy...

I'll talk to everyone tomorrow. Right now I'm hitting the sack. Good night!

Good evening everyone.

I threw up today! (Ok, I'm trying to sound excited about it, as this will probably become a daily part of life, at least for a while).

It sucked.

I'm just nauseated all the time. Queasy feeling. I opened the fridge this morning to get a bottle of water, caught a whif of hamburger, and off to the toilet I ran. It was all kind of cliche, really. :rotfl:

And I'm tired/not sleeping well.

Any suggestions? Ideas? Tips? ANYTHING? :teeth:

Keep a supply of saltines with you, EVERYWHERE you go. And sleep whenever you can. If your nausea gets really bad, talk to your doctor. I actually had to get some meds because I was throwing up way too much.

You can't count on me for advice in the pregnant dept. All I can offer is :grouphug:

Already carrying a supply of saltines! I figured they work when I'm not preggers, so saltines and sprite it is.

I'm not a nap person, but I can tell I'm going to have to retrain myself. I'm just exhausted.

I never knew (before we started trying to get pregnant/reading everything) that the fatigue would be so pronounced this early!

The fatigue is actually the worst in the first trimester, at least it was for me.

I can't help you with the morning sickness....thankfully I didnt have any. But nap whenever and where ever you can. Trust me. A little nap makes a world of difference.

Becky, keep telling yourself that feeling sick is such a good sign. Means the hormone levels are up and the pregnancy is more likely to "stick". I was the miscarriage queen and I didn't feel so pregnant when I ended up miscarrying. So as miserable as I felt, I always wanted to feel sick. Of course I didn't want to feel sick, but you know what I mean. I actually felt the best for Jake, my last pregnancy, but I had him after 3 m/c's (and progesterone) so maybe I just wasn't meant to feel as sick, which worked for me.

Ugh, I hate those. Be thankful they are only on your ankle. I once got one on my eyebrow....my whole freakin eye swelled shut. That was fun.
