My DD is now 19 and away at College, and she knows this story. When I brought DD home from the hospital, I was apauled at some of the words that I had heard other mommie's say to there babies when it was time to change the diaper. Such as caca, poopie, even I heard the "S" word. I would just get sick to my stomach over this.
Now I come up with the word "FLUFF". So I would always tell DD when I changed her diaper Did Lauren make Fluff? Mommy will clean you up. No big deal, DH and Grandparent's and my sister would all ask Lauren if she made fluff. So now I think this sounds so much better than her coming up to me and saying Lauren made CaCa. ( no offense if any mom's out there used this)
Here we are at my MIL, when now Lauren is starting to talk more and more and she walks in and looks at her Nanny, and out of the mouth of Babe's she Says: Nanny, Lauren make -uck! I was shocked along with everyone else in the room. As you can imagine we all stopped using the word Fluff. We started asking Lauren then if she had a mess that needed to be cleaned up! I just wanted to share. Who would have known.
