ok so I am starting to look at colors for my future wedding and right now I am really liking a peacock theme, deep purple with an aqua like blue. I was just wondering, for those of you with inspiration boards..did you make them yourself? how did u do it and what did u use? Is there a good site where i can find a ton of them?

Thanks in advance :cutie:

Oh I love your theme, peacocks are gorgeous so no doubt they will be a great inspiration for a beautiful wedding. I love the dark purple and aqua colors, the deep green in some of those pictures also works so well with it. Those earrings are so gorgeous too.

Thank you soo much! I really appreciate the time you took to find those links for me

No problem!! I'd keep searching the blogs. Often they link to other blogs which can be helpful, too. I became addicted, which is bad. I don't recommend wedding blog addiction. :surfweb:

My florist made one for me, but she just used different pics that she found online and put it together. If I had to make my own, I would do the same and stick them in Powerpoint (that's the only program that I have). Good Luck!

Here is one that I made of all my things on www.bridalcanvas.com

It was nice to have, after I already got everything so now I can see it all together.

For me its not really an inspiration board anymore, more of a let me see all my junk together. :rotfl:

I did a peacock/art deco motif, and what I found helpful was to take all the images I downloaded and make them into a powerpoint presentation which I printed out and brought to my planning session. It was very helpful to see all the elements that I liked come together so well!
You can see photos of my wedding at Randy Chapman's site - under Tabetha & Greg.

Thank you all so much for even more responses :)

Tabetha I just started looking through your photos and it is so close to what I want. The peacock feathers in his flower and in yours are what i have been looking for! thank you so much! I hope you don't mind using your wedding for inspiration :)

Go for it - it's a compliment!

If you like the invitations, you can get the same ones, or similar at www.decodezigns.com

If you're doing a Disney wedding - Laura Kidd was our floral contact, so she'd remember our stuff.

My inspiration board came in two parts. I was operating off of a board I found on Snippet and Ink. I have a friend who has a wedding blog
http://lulubelleblog.blogspot.com and she made an inspiration board for me in exchange for her ability to use my wedding as a "real wedding" post on her blog. I totally suck at these sorts of things (I'm a crafting disaster :scared1: )

Here is the blog post about it (yes, the photo is of my DFH and I, and the invitations featured are our real invitations).

I made one by finding pictures of things I liked, or things that are the colour I like and sticking them together by copying and pasting into Paint. It was pretty easy. I'm at work at the moment, so I don't have access to it, and can't post it, but it turned out pretty well.

I did mine the same way :goodvibes I copied pics I had of what I want and have for our VR into paint and then pasted them together like a collage before I posted it.:goodvibes

Thank you all so much for your help! :)

Tabetha your invitations are lovely. I showed my DBF your pics and he also loves it. Yay for me! lol I also love the flowers that your bridesmaids carried down instead of bouquets, saves money which is what we need to do. I also loved that everyone seemed to pick up a feather and wear it lol.

Yeah, the giant calla lilies for the Maid of Honor and Best Woman were a great money saver - they were only $30 each if I recall correctly...

The peacock feathers were such a big hit with people - we had them tied into our napkins by Disney Floral, ($1 per feather) and people just went to town with them. Of course it didn't hurt that our guests were pretty much all actors and comedians, so we were prone to silliness.
