Your nurseries?

We knew right from the start that we wanted a unisex nursery, because we weren't sure what we were having until the 6th month or so. DS's nursery is painted in bright, sunny PoohBear Yellow (from Home Depot) with white baseboards, a white ceiling and around the center of the room (about chest height)are baby blue mouldings/railings that frame a Classic Pooh w/Honeypots wall border. :) The crib is in a nice honey color, with cream Pooh and Honeypots sheets w/matching dust ruffle. His changing table matches the crib and his dresser belonged to DH as a young boy. :)

I was lucky, my bosses decorated it for us. Sure, we got the bill but it was well worth it. (A Laura Ashley crib set costs WHAT?)
They were with us through the not successful times, and they celebrated with us when Evan was born. :cool1:

When I left the show four years ago, it was one of the toughest descisions I've ever had. Say what you will, but M&S are still dear to my heart, and always will be -- they've become true family and I owe them more than I could ever repay. :grouphug:

Awww...
I don't think I"ve ever seen you around here before, SoE. Welcome to the DIS. :) I'm TOV, one of the worst (and wackiest) moms you'll ever want to meet. :)

I knew I was having a girl but Im so not into pink. So the sweetpea's room was painted a very light pale green with white trim. I decorated with classic Pooh. Awwww, I miss her being a baby.

I tried something a little different. I painted the walls yellow, then sponge painted over that with light pink and deep burgudy. I pictured it pretty cool in my mind, but when I was done it looked like somebody got murdered with a chain saw in there.

Her room is pink now, but she might have a subconcious disturbance affect her later in life. We'll see.

Paul's got sunny yellow walls, white furniture, and a frog theme. Lots and lots of green frogs! It's really cute and kind of different. Everybody comments on it.

I was anti-baby bedding. Then my MIL bought Russ the chair and mobile from this line:

Now he has the shelf, lamp and hamper, too, and "he" asked for the toddler bedding and some other accessories for his birthday. We didn't paint, but if we buy a house, we'll paint his room in the blue that's on the suede part of the accessories.

I did this very odd theme. Not sure how I was influenced, but any image I could find of a late 70's, 80's or 90's "bad boy"...most especailly any with the very large hair, often associated with the 80's....

Well, I had to have their images and photos. With large red or black slashes through them. If I could, I'd add the circle too, as in the "Not Allowed" symbol. I am not sure where I got this idea, but it is is/was quite pervasive.

I kept it very simple. Inexpensive white crib and changing table, blue accessories, an unfinished dresser we painted blue and white, a few stuffed elephants, some Babar posters, and a crib blanket and crib bolster set with elephants on it. I used the same thing for ds #2 minus the crib blanket - which was ds #1's dearly loved "ki-ki".

I'm not a fan of big decor in bedrooms. I prefer something where the kids can change a few posters and viola - a new look.
