insignia BluRay at Best Buy

Our BluRay is OLD OLD no wifi and slow (was one of the first Sony's it is a dinosaur) anyway BB has an InSignia WiFi Bluray for $129.00 anyone own this?


Is it an ok player or a piece of junk???

I was looking at this too. Have you read the reviews on the best buy website yet? They're pretty detailed. Some had issues connecting to wifi but on the whole people seem pretty happy with it.

Looks like a good deal. Wifi for only $30 more (the one without wifi will be on sale BF for $100, and was on sale for that price a few weeks ago).

I have an isignia DVD player and I am happy with it. It plays the most scratched DVD's--even the ones from the library--with no problem at all.

Insignia is BB's house brand. I would spend an extra $20 or so on a good Samsung, LG, etc - there are plenty on sale right now or on Black Friday. I am hesitant about quality on Insignia products overall. They are made cheap to be sold cheap, it seems.

There was a post last week or so, discussing this player, and someone said that this was made by Samsung under the Insignia name...

We actually picked up a Samsung (now $149 at Sam's Club) and have been very happy with it. So nice to have the on demand feature with netflix.

Most are WiFi ready but check if you still need to buy the adapter at an additional cost....

The Samsung we we bought has Wifi, but we needed to buy an adapter to receive the wireless connection, it even said it on the box that the adapter was not included. We did buy the adapter and it works great!
