Inside Staterooms Rock!

I've only stayed in standard inside staterooms (1 on the Dream, 1 on the Fantasy). We loved the virtual porthole and everything else about the room. There was also just my daughter and me. I agree that more than 2 might feel pretty crowded. I tried to get my daughter to let me upgrade to a Verandah (because the price actually dropped lower than what we paid for inside) but she refused because she's afraid she'll fall overboard. We are doing an oceanview on our upcoming Wonder cruise because there's no virtual porthole inside and I don't think I could handle that.

Thanks for sharing. Fyi, we did a standard inside on the Magic last year and were fine with it. Not as fun as having a magical porthole, but the room was just as nice. One benefit about the classics is that their insides actually are a bit larger than insides on the Dream class ships, which helps. They also have some "sideways" inside staterooms (although we weren't in one of these) that have a different room configuration and make the room feel even more spacious. I'll add this info about the classics to my post. Enjoy your oceanview!

We have always booked inside staterooms, and we are a family of 4. On our last cruise we were in a standard inside stateroom, vs the deluxe inside that we had always booked before. I like the deluxe inside better because of the 2 bathrooms, but I was pleasantly surprised when I could fit my suitcases under the bed in the standard stateroom. Overall we were very comfortable and will book it again if we can save money.

Thanks for the great review! My daughter and her BF are coming with us in Nov 2017! We have a room with a verandah and I booked an inside cabin across the hall from us for them today. It will be her BF 1st cruise! I like the port hole idea! I am looking forward to seeing it myself :)

That's what we're doing for our upcoming cruise next summer. Our family of 5 has finally outgrown the beloved deluxe family verandah! We're getting two connecting standard insides with magical porthole for first leg of our B2B; second leg we're getting one verandah room and one standard inside across the hall. Prices aren't too much different and we're all very excited about the ability to spread out more and have a little more privacy (3 teens/tweens, you know how that is! ).

We've been on 3 cruises and only stayed in 10A - we love that it was dark for napping or sleeping in. We want to go outside, it's a short walk down/up to a deck ;)
