sorry if this has been posted before but would my kids ages 5 and 3 enjoy this movie? It looks cute but not sure if they would. Thanks.

Took my 2 5 year olds to see it this weekend. They both loved it! Can't comment on the 3 year old (from experience) but I don't see why not!

We took our 3 year old yesterday, it was his first movie theater experience. He made it all the way through and it held his attention for the most part. He loved the Lava Song (tried to sing along though he didn't know the words). He was a little chatty during the parts where his attention wandered but not enough to bother other people. I don't think kids this age are going to walk away loving it but he enjoyed himself.

We took our DS2 (will be 3 this Friday) and DS9 last week. They both enjoyed it. It was the younger ones first movie theater experience and he did just fine. He also really enjoyed the Lava short film at the beginning. He talks about that a lot and the colored balls (memories) that play a big part of the movie.

We took our 6 year old and 2 year old last weekend. This was the first movie experience for our two year old and she watched the entire movie either from her chair, my lap or standing between my legs. I think they both enjoyed it!

I think so, yes. My 4-year-old didn't understand that the characters were "feelings" (he thought they were aliens ;)), but I explained it when we got home and he seemed to understand. We both enjoyed it!

Our 4 and 7 year olds LOVED it. The 4 year old (just turned 4 last week) didn't really understand the concepts but still found the movie really funny. The 7 year old really got the concepts and cried her way through parts of the movie, but that's the norm these days for us. ;) We now play Inside Out every day at home and I've got fingers crossed that we'll be able to see something from the movie when we visit WDW in Sept!

We went and my 4 year old loved it. I don't think he really understood everything but he really liked it. Made me cry! (he did not) But he didn't like big hero six - said he didn't like the bad guy. Inside out doesn't have a "bad guy" so I think that's why he liked it so much. He said he wants to see it again! There were some parts where only adults would get the joke and I was laughing out loud in the theater and he would start laughing! He talks about all the characters all the time. Go see it! Even if they don't understand it the animation is great and lots of colors and stuff to watch.

Have the day off tomorrow and wasn't sure about taking my DS who is 4 years old to see this movie. Thought he might be too young but now I think we will go see it. Thanks!

My 6yo and 3yo enjoyed it. The baby went to but slept through most of it ;-) I don't know how much DD3 understood, but she and DS6 have been playing lava jumping since. We also decided to do the feelings for our MNSSHP and DD is set on being Joy (I wanted her to be Disgust and I could be Joy).

I found the actual story pretty heavy for a Pixar movie. My DS is 9 and he fell asleep during it. Sounds like we're in the minority of not fully enjoying it though. Have fun!

My four and seven year old really enjoyed it, and so did mom and dad. :) Bonus- we now have an easy way to talk about big feelings and how to handle them.

we loved it, our youngest is 8 though and she was in tears...but she really gets into movies and cries at alot of them.

My kids loved it. DS6 and DD8 have been running around the house singing "Tripledent gum..." Surprisingly, my DD13 wants to go see it again. I don't want to ruin the movie for those that haven't seen it but I think the emotional element of the film really strikes a chord with tweens and younger teens.

We took our children to see it (even the 11 month old). The two older ones were hooked the whole time. Our theatre was full of kids that could not sit still. Many potty breaks I saw, since I was standing in the back with the baby. But it is a really cute movie and my 3 year old really was in to it. So I would take them even if they don't sit still you will see every other parent in the same situation. Enjoy!

My son is almost 3. A lot of the movie was over his head and he got bored in the middle, but got interested again towards the end. I think the movie is really aimed towards adults, but there's enough for young kids to enjoy if they have a sufficient attention span.
