has anyone taken their kids to see this yet. I am planning to take the kids to see it tomorrow. do you think it's an ok movie for a five year old. I know my 6 and 9 year olds will be ok. is there anything that would scare her, I don't want to have a repeat of into the woods when we had to leave because she was crying and scared.

I don't have kids so no advice, but I just wanted to say how much I admire you for being able to have a baby at 16 and your teaching license by 17. You are one determined young lady.

wait? what? am i missing something here?

Just saw this last night. There is nothing there to scare them but I think the story will go over their head of a young child. There were lots of children in the theater and they seemed to stick with it. There is one scene with what was supposed to be a scary clown but a little girl of about 4 that sat next to us thought that was the funniest thing. I loved how she burst out laughing.

thankyou

My 4 year old enjoyed it. I was also surprised that they had kid size 3D glasses.

I'd noted before that there was a series of ads during the NBA Finals placed on the electronic ad boards in front of Oracle Arena for Inside Out. One was Disgust with the caption "Dribbling? Eewww gross." There was Joy with "Yeah. Go Riley's Dad!"

I don't know who would understand that (Riley Curry, the 2 year old daughter of the Warriors' best player) but apparently her family went to watch it. This is the place we watched it.

We took our DS9 and DS5 last week and they enjoyed it. As the movie started, I quietly whispered to my 5 year old that the little people in the control room were supposed to be super tiny, inside the girl's head, controlling what she thought. I also told him it was just make-believe, we don't really have little people inside our brains. I guess he understood, but whether he did or didn't he definitely was entertained the whole time and nothing seemed too scary for him. If you do go, stay for the outtakes at the end as the credits start to roll... some funny stuff!

I just wanted to note that that wasn't my photo. That was from NBA player Stephen Curry's Instagram account, and is of his daughter Riley running to the entrance. The location is AMC Bay Street 16 in Emeryville, California and the closest public movie theater to Pixar.

Took my grandkids this morning 5 & 6, they both enjoyed it a lot.

The little girl sitting next to me...maybe 6 or so?...seemed like it was bit beyond her attention span. She was bored about half way though and starting moving around a lot and asking when they could leave.

I've heard you can go to a certain neighborhood and see it on an outdoor screen for free. ;)

Seriously though, we had free movie nights at a local park, projected on a screen on a grass field. At least last year they were all Pixar movies. There was a Pixar employee living in our community who got permission to do this. Pixar was a sponsor and might have provided the equipment.

we are taking the kids to the drive in to see it tonight it's playing with the dino movie. two movies for $20.00 a car.

Jurassic World? That's an odd double feature. Jurassic World may be scary for little kids. There were kids crying in the theater when we saw it.
