It was on the National Geographic Channel last night. I Tivo'd it and have watched the first 2 hours. Easily the most thorough documentation of what led up to 9/11 that I've ever seen.

While hinesight is always 20/20, I find it difficult to understand how so many clues were missed and how communication between various branches of the government failed.

Now I'm going to watch some of Part II which deals with the day of the attacks. I suspect I will do it over two or three sittings. Not something that you can deal with all at once.

If it's on again, be sure to view this show.

I thought the documentary was fascinating. Yes, with hindsight, it seems that many obvious clues were missed or overlooked. Part 2 was hard to watch, but
extremely interesting.

Saw it.. it was very interesting and disturbing that so many signs were missed or ignored.. The actual attacks were difficult to watch but I'm not sure that feeling will ever dull. The sights of the jumpers and the sounds of the firefighters alarms will forever live in my mind.... There was SO much information, so in depth, that I may watch it again to 'take it all in'.

It was so well done. Unfortunately, brought so many of those raw emotions back to the surface again - the 2nd part was VERY hard to watch. The 2 sentences on the screen at the very end chilled me to the bone.

What were they?

My Comcast doesn;t list it again.. but I think they only have a few days out. I'm sure it'll end up on OnDemand.

I didn't know about it. :( I hope they air it again.

I watch it, and it was very good. My 9 year old son watched the first one with me. Believe it or not, he still remembers it, and he was in grade K when it happened. He has a good memory, and he asked lots of questions last night.

It airs again on September 8, and 11.

It's hard to tell exactly, but I think it plays in its entirety twice on the 8th starting at 7 pm and then at 1 pm on the 11th. I don't know if the listing is Eastern or Central time.

Bin Laden was talking to a Pakistani Journalist in the mountains of Afghanistan; explaining the 'culture of violence that defines radical Islam.' Hearing U.S. bombs in the distance he said: "This place may be bombed and we will be killed." He continued (and these are the lines that lingered on the TV screen):

"We love death. The U.S. loves life.
That is the big difference between us."

Still gives me chills.

Same here. I watched it with my DS9 and he remembers us pulling him out of class that day. He asked me if we thought a bomb was going to go off.

It was very well done and gave a great overlook of how many things from 1980-1993 could have elimated this problem. Although they did not mentioned USS Cole and how we could of had OBL in '93.

We tivoed it to watch over and over again.

I'm pretty sure they did touch on that in the first part....

I need to watch it again. I saw the second show first and then started watching the first. I must have dozed off.

Those 2 sentences gave me chills too.
