We are going for a week to WDW and the kids are really looking forward to it, even the monorail ride! lol well my question is, being that we are staying at the ASMu resort, there is no monorail from our hotel to the parks and my kids are bummed, so I was thinking about on the days we plan to go to MK we could take the hotel bus to epcot and then catch the monorail over to MK what do you think? is that even doable? is the monorail station at epcot near where the hotel bus drops you off? any input will help me a bunch. Thanks.

Take the bus from ASMu to MK, then at some point go out of MK and catch the monorail and ride it around (it makes a giant loop). If you have any meals scheduled for the resorts on the monorail, you can also hop on it to go to those. We took the bus to MK one day, and then park hopped over to Epcot... taking the monorail.

There are a ton of options for jumping around the world. You can also take a bus to Epcot... then take the monorail to the TTC... and then catch a boat to MK. My kids enjoyed the boat/ferry on our last day just as much as we had enjoyed the monorail!

Thanks for the tips, Is the monorail station at epcot near where the hotel bus drops you off?

No, the hotel buses drop you off at the gate (a very NICE perk to being on property). You can't get any closer than that. ;) Now, you can ride the bus to Epcot, and then catch the monorail to the TTC, and then another one (or the boat) to MK. BUT, that would take FOREVER. Your best bet to get to MK is to take the bus (same for all the parks). That doesn't mean you won't have ample time to ride the monorail. I've known folks to head out and just go ride the loop. It's very nice and calming. ;)

The resort bus will drop you off and you will need to walk to the entrance of Epcot. You will pass the entrance to the monorail, so you will not need to go out of your way to catch the monorail. The Epcot monorail will make a stop at the TTC where you will get off and make a switch to the MK monorail.

If you chose to take a bus to MK and just take a ride on the monorail, keep in mind there are two monorail routes leaving the MK station. One which will take you to the TTC, which then goes on to Epcot. The other route will make a loop and will go to the Comtemporary Resort, Polynesian Resort and Grand Floridian before going back to MK.

Have fun!! :thumbsup2

Agree with others, just go to MK and then get on the monorail when you need a break later in the day. Do the loop that goes to the resorts-- it is fun to go through the Contemporary Hotel, and the views are beautiful. Then when you get back to MK, hop off and go back into the park!
