I have not been in there since 2000.

The last trip I went on in 2011 was too short and had too many other things I wanted to see.

This trip I want to spend time in here and at the aquarium, all the places I rushed past last time.

Any suggestions on what not to miss in these pavilions? Or anything else in Future World? We have no kids if that matters.

thanks! :)

Sum of all thrills is in there, along with a few other mediocre attractions.I spend a lot of time in Epcot and Sum of all Thrills is the only thing in there I do every so often.A lot of the rest is like one and done.I've been meaning to go in the Vision house since it was changed a bit,but still nothing in there that feels like a must do.

We always say we're going to go in and walk around but never do :(.

Didn't they take a lot of innovations away to add the characters, or was that something else?

We usually spend some time in at least one of the Innoventions pavilions. I can see that if one is only concentrating on rides that these places would be overlooked with the exception of SOAT.

But if you are also interested in taking things a little slower and enjoying some of the smaller attractions, then I think it is easy to spend a bit of time there. IIRC,the amount of space taken up by the Character Spot was not that great. Certainly the attractions inside the pavilions are the most overtly educational. But I don't think that means they can't be enjoyable, too.

If you have time and like thrill rides, be sure to stop in and check out "Sum of all thrills" The pre-show is hokey (but they all are in their own charming way) but you design your own roller coaster then get in a ride simulator and ride the coaster YOU designed!
My whack-job daughter always makes it a killer with barrel rolls and several upside-down loop portions. I scream my head off in terror but I like it ::yes::

You can, of course make the coaster much tamer

We enjoy SOAT but even as adults only ( we also have 2 kids), the piggy bank game is fun in a corny way! Not a thrill ride but cute! (They are not in the same one)....we miss the garbage game!

My twin 13 year old daughters won't let us skip it....they love the piggy bank adventure! Every year I think they will outgrow it but they haven't yet.

I'm 28 years old and every time I go I still do Sum of All Thrills and Where's the Fire. I love Where's the Fire, lol!

If I had a limited amount of time, and it was a once-in-a-lifetime trip, I would recommend skipping it. However, we go each year and my family loves it!

Where's The Fire and The Great Piggy Bank Adventure are fun in their own way.

So... Guilty here as well. I thought "Where's the Fire" was really boring... till I decided to do it immediately after doing 'Drink Around The World' with friends..... lets just say :D it's opened my eyes to a whole new experience. Climb though the window!!

First, Sum Of All Thrills is a legit "ride" and for us is a "must do". But the queue area stinks so we go early before the lines build. As for the rest of Innoventions, we enjoy doing it because it makes us feel like we are at Epcot. Sounds kind of corny, but Innoventions to us is sort of what Epcot is supposed to be about, so we pay tribute by spending time there. With a 9:00 FP+ and a 10:00 FP+, we squeezed in SOAT and still had time to kill before using our next FP, so we took the Green Vision House tour. At 9:20, it was a private tour, and hence, not filled with canned speeches. It was ono-to-one and quite nice. Whether it is nostalgia or creating a "sense of place", there are certain things that we always do in Future World, including spending time at Innoventions and drinking through the Cokes of the World. Beverly is always the first taste!

I loved EPCOT of the 1980's. We went when I was a kid the first and second year it was open. It was entertainment and education all in one park.
I'm glad you posted this because that is the feeling I was hoping to get from there. :)

My family loves the piggy bank game :yay:.

We also like SOAT, the game where you go into a video game (sorry don't know what it is called), we have done the revamped hero one (the one right across from SOAT) and enjoyed that one as well. Our family really enjoys going into both innovetion pavilions....it really is a great way to get away from the heat and there are some fun and interesting things to do in there :goodvibes.

I have a 7 year old daughter that loves science and only wants to watch TV shows like How It's Made. I expect it will be difficult to get her out of innovetions. She loves it at DLR. Certainly worth taking a look and if it doesn't look like your cup of tea it will be a short look.

We also loved the "Where's the fire?" game and always go to the stormwatch attraction :)
