Hi again...so I was reading that the pop century people decorate their windows...so along with decorating the doors I want to decorate the windows...has anyone used the inkjet window clings? and made their own..i've looked online and cannot find any places that have them in stock..okay I looked in amazaon and office depot..

but do any of you DISers know if the all star music doors are made of metal too????? I had planned on decoratin the door...

this forum has doomed me to a life of crafting...:guilty:

Hi! I thought that I might be able to help you out with the window clings...I made them earlier this year for our trip to the All Star Sports Resort. Here is the website where I purchased the clings...

http://www.papilio.com/inkjet static cling film media.html

You can also browse their other "cling" products by using the menu on the left and going to inkjet and then to static clings.

Now for the confusing part...if you want to hang the clings on the inside of the resort windows...you must print them out on the "clear" cling paper in a "mirror image." Next you need to purchase the white adhesive that is made for the clings and spray that onto each cling. This step provides the "white" background that is normally on a white sheet of paper. The final step is to cut out each cling.

Here are a few that I made...

An easier way would be to purchase the white clings and print them out normally...however...now you have to put the clings on the outside of your windows. This is an option...just not so sure about the ability of those clings to walk away...:upsidedow

I hope that this helps! Have fun with all of your projects!

Disney On A Dime, thanks so much for the instructions. Just wondering what is the white adhesive that I will need to purchase? Would a quick spray of white spray paint work (always willing to use up what I have on hand)

I used the white adhesive spray that was offered with the clear clings, however; I would bet that white spray paint would work. To be honest...the white spray that they offered was difficult to use...it kept getting clogged. In the future I will probably "test-out" regular white spray paint and see what happens! Have fun!!! :wizard:

omg thank you for the help..i didn't even think of making them mirror images..no i dont want to put them outside of the window! they will definately ...ah thank you again!

o wait one more thing..I only need the white adhesive if I want a white background? or do I need the adhesive so the cling can work? sorry for the confusion

You don't need the white adhesive for the cling to work. You only need the white adhesive in order to provide the "white" background that a normal sheet of paper provides. :artist: For instance...go back and look at the clings that I made...if I had not added the "white" to each cling...then you would see no white...it would be clear. I hope that this helps! :goodvibes

Just an FYI - regular spray paint will not work. It isn't flexible when dry and will flake and crack. However, I bought some spray vinyl paint (Krylon brand) and it worked like a dream. At the end of our trip last year, I carefully put each cling back on it's backing and stored them for our return trip next month.
