Hello all,

So today I stupidly injured my foot and gave myself a laceration and a hematoma on my toe. It's stable but starting to throb. I can still hobble but the problem is extensive walking and standing. I had gotten the laceration to stabilize but during a grocery store trip, I kept re-injuring it. We have tickets for the 10/20 mickeys halloween party. I want to try to power through because my 5 year old has really been looking forward to going. I've never been to disneyland injured before. Would you recommend the wheel chair or the scooter? Will any scooters still be available if I don't arrive until 2 or 3 pm? Do I need to go to city hall for anything? Should I try to get an appt with my dr to get a note? Sorry for so many questions but thank you in advance.

And I just remembered the long walk from the parking structure. ** vey. Is there a reasonably priced business near Disneyland that I could rent a wheelchair or ECV from to use from the time I get out of the car rather than figuring out how to get into Disneyland and then renting something.

Hope your foot is feeling better soon.. what a bummer..

You will not need a doctors note.. Disney have a no ask policey due to legalities etc .. they can ask you what your needs are etc.. but not what is wrong with you..

dont know on site whether there would still be wheelchairs or scooters still available at that time.. my guess would be no,.
Off site there is a company that comes up all the time for reccomondations : Deckers Medical Equipment .... they will deliviler to your hotel..

Hope you have a great time..

Scooter rental across Harbor beside Tony Romas.I would suggest you prerent. You can also park for a few bucks at Tropicana, its pretty close on Harbor.

Thank you for both your suggestions! I tried calling two places but they're already all sold out. Going to try to reach the two places both of you suggested. My foot and I would be pretty miserable if I hobble over to Disneyland and discover they're all out of wheelchairs and ecv.

My wife broke a foot bone a week before our trip a few years ago. They gave her a walking boot and she tried to use it the first day of the trip - paid for the next day lol.

If you happen to be unable to rent ahead of time, the wheelchair rental is just outside of the park turnstiles. I forget the price, however.

Try driving up to the check-in areas of any of the DL hotels. You can rent wheelchairs from the concierge desks. Not sure how they handle people not staying there, but we stayed at one hotel and rented a wheelchair from a different one. The PPH concierge desk is pretty much right next to the front door of the hotel and you can drive up really close to the front door. Give them a call and see if they can help get you a wheelchair before making any long treks. See if you can reserve one since they can run out at the hotels.
