Initial Phone Call to Pencil in Your Date with DFTW

So, DF and I are calling Disney in the morning to pencil the date for our Wishes Wedding. How does this go?

Do I just say 'this is the date we would like, and we want the WP at 10am and WHR from 11-2p'?

Is it really that simple?

I'm just having those bridal nerves, and I don't want to sound like an idiot. I am curious what others have said.

Yes, it's that simple as long as you're within the time frame for your type of wedding. Are you having an escape or wishes??

Thanks! I always seems to forget the type in posts. We're having a Wishes wedding.

I called in, they take all your info and then have a wedding co-ordinator get back to you to start the planning.
shortly after they call you back, they will send you an information form, after this is filled out, they prepare your contract snd send it to you

OP: You can be penciled in, and a wedding consultant will contact you soon. There isn't much planning and talking with DFTW until the one year mark(where you pay deposit, sign contract and such.) I'm almost to my 16 month mark where they will "hold" my date, time, and places until I can really sign and contract them for the exact times and date. As in the 4 month gap between the penciled in 16 month mark and the conracted one year mark there is a chance that a convention can bumb you out of your spot. So you will not sign anything and have definitly got your wedding date and spot until the one year mark. Good luck and congrats!!!

Good luck with your call Today! As others are saying, it's simple but I cannot stress enough that they are pretty rigid about their timelines and although it feels like you should be able to get more info or confirm something (and hey! We will give you loads of money! Right now!!), not much really happens until even after the planning session. I font think we ever even got a 100% supposedly as correct as could be BEO and our wedding was 2 weeks ago! Not trying to get you down, but just to say there are alot of ups and downs during this whole process and it is normal! And information comes in waves. So good luck today! It will be great to get into the system and get an idea of what's available for you!!!! So exciting!!
