Being a single person and all it occurs to me that I probably should think about it. Are there any restrictions on who can inherit DVC (barring any state limitation)? DVC can be inherited...right?
That's what got me thinking about it... No one in my family would enjoy it or use it as effectively as my best friend & family. More than likely the family would sell it...which is fine but knowing there are people close to me who would put it to good use brings me up a bit short.
You can't split a single contract. If you leave a 150 point contract to Mutt and Jeff, they'll both wind up with shared ownership of 150 points even if your will specifies 75 to Mutt and 75 to Jeff.
I wasn't thinking of splitting it. I own another timeshare that would be somewhat more suitable to the way my family thinks about things. Also with any luck at all there won't be anything to leave my friends OR family with regard to Disney!
We have ours set up in a trust for our two daughters to be co-owners. We figure they can either vacation together with their families or seperately each year.
