Ingredient list posted anywhere for the Dream?

Hi, We just got off the Disney Dream yesterday. My child had a slight allergic reaction to something she ate on board. We are thinking it was something in the soft serve ice cream or the pizza since that was what she ate outside of restaurant dining. Does anyone know where you can find ingredients posted? Or who I could contact to ask? TIA!

I've never seen anyone who's been able to get an actual ingredient list for foods prepared onboard. Since the ingredients may vary from cruise to cruise, it would be difficult to confirm what exactly was used onboard any given cruise.

You could contact DCL via the "Contact us" link on the website and pose your question. I've always had good response to my questions there. They might be able to track down what you need.

Thank you!

Don't they "shop" (for lack of a better word) for food/ingredients, or at least resupply, from a multitude of vendors at the various ports?

I believe most of the stores (food supplies) are put onboard the ship in Port Canaveral. Or Miami, or Galveston, or Vancouver (whatever the embarkation port is). I don't think they do any "shopping" while en route. Except, maybe, on the really long (over 10 nights) cruises.

I know some cruiselines resupply as necessary, but I don't think DCL does.

I've never seen anything posted.

The time for answers alas was while on the ship. I assume she has allergies, so in the future find ingredients before she eats. We simply avoid soft serve because in the US it's generally made with an ingredient (corn syrup solids) DS can't have. It's not good enough to wait for an attendant at the soft serve place. But another family who finds soft serve to be worth it bit has an allergy or sensitivity might find the time to be well spent.

Disney is good about allergies (and sensitivities and choices). Let them know ahead of time next cruise!

Ah. I thought I heard on the podcast once that DCL tried to "shop local" to keep the food as fresh as possible. As you said, maybe it's just for the longer cruises.

This!

I have a sensitivity to peanuts and usually don't mention it, because as an adult I am perfectly capable of discerning or asking if something has peanuts in it. But now that I've added Gluten-Free into the mix, I include peanuts in my info just in case someone is ever subbing peanut flour or something weird in. And now I ask.

Better to be safe than sorry.

(Also unless the pizza and soft serve are the only things that were in her system, it would be really hard to say 100% that was it.)

There was no egg in the pizza or the soft serve in 2015...nor were there any nuts...

My food allergy parent thinks that perhaps it was a whey reaction? That is a common denominator in both foods.
