Per some advice on these forums, I opened an INGDirect savings account to save up for our next trip to Disney. I never have a problem transferring money in but is there some trick to transferring money back out?
When I go into View My Account and the click Transfer Money, it only allows me to transfer from my regular banck account into INGDirect. . .I don't need to transfer back out just yet but eventually I will and I would like to know how.
Perhaps it is just an oversight on my part (which is very likely) but could anyone tell me how to do this? Please!?!? Thanks for any help/advice you can provide.

I believe you have to wait 30 days after the account is opened to transfer money back into your checking account. I opened mine a couple weeks ago and it is not yet giving me the option to put the money back! Be patient! I also know there is a phone # on the page where you log in. You can always call and talk to a rep...they seem really nice.:)

I can think of 3 possible reasons why it may not show up in the list:

(1) is the account less than 30 days old? If so, the bonus money isn't available to transfer out yet and if there isn't anything available to transfer out, the option of sending money outside of *** may not even show up.

(2) did you create an account for your kids and if so are you logged into their account? I found in order to transfer out fo my kids accounts, I have to do it from the screen where I am logged into MY customer number rather than theirs.

(3) if you are logged into *** with your customer number, did you set up the account as joint with a spouse? if you did, when you entered the checking account info they asked whose account it was, person A, person B or both. If you said person B and you are person A, that account won't show up for transfers when logged under your customer number but if you log in as person B it should be there. Does that make sense?

According to this certain bank's rules, you can transer money out of the account once your account has been open with them for at least 30 days, then you are allowed to close your account completely or transfer money out of it.

THANKS SO MUCH - I LOVE THESE BOARDS!!!!

Got it all resolved; I had not verified the other account and now it all set - thanks for all of your help/advice - much appreciated!!
