Hi all. I'm running the New York City Marathon (2nd marathon - 1st NYC) to benefit the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. If anyone would like to read more about it, here's the link: http://www.active.com/donate/nycmarathon08/anita

My question has to do with logistics getting to the start. I hope to run somewhere near a 3:25 and want to make sure I get to the athletes' village with time to check my bag, hit the port-o-john, and get in the right corral.

Does anyone know if the 7:30 or 7:00 am ferry would be fine, or if I should take the 6:30 am ferry to play it safe? Thanks.

I have heard nightmare stories about getting to the start of the NYC marathon. If I was you, I would play it safe and get there as early as possible. Get on the earliest ferry as you can.

Good Luck....I tried to get into NYC through the lottery and didn't get picked..oh well!
