Infos on groceries at okw

Hi everybody

Is there some grocery store at walking distance from OKW? We are planning, when closing, to book a one bedroom in okw on first week of march 2001.
Is there some "take out" meals to bring to the condo, we don't want to cook a lot in the vacancy but take the saving advantage of the kitchen.

There is a small General Store at OKW that can provide the basics (at a fairly high cost) and with limited selection. You can also sometimes find interesting things at the Gourmet Galley in DD and you can get some items like soda, snacks, milk, eggs, bread, and drugstore items at the gas station near DD at fairly reasonable prices (but hard to get to without a car). However, for a "real" grocery store you've got to go offsite. Goodings in the Crossroads is the closest, very nice, but you pay a premium for the convenience. Publix is nearby as is Suepr Walmart and some other options. If you won't have a rental car, some people have found car services like Tiffany that include a half-hour grocery stop on the way from the airport or you could get a cab.

You can have your non-perishables sent by netgrocer.com. We use them each trip. Email your order in about a week before your arrival date, make sure your order states your arrival date also. Any questions netgrocer has a phone number to call.

If you're taking a limo in from the airport, you could make a quick stop at Albertson's on the way in. Have Albertson's pull your grocery order for you so it's waiting for you when you get there. We did that and saved time and money. Here's the contact info we used:
