5. is the Lake Buena Vista Factory Store as good as the premium outlet, are there lots of stores and good deals here. from what i can gather this outlet mall is close to
walmart and i would like togo there as well for some disney souveniers.
6. does the walmart that is close to the Lake Buena Vista Factory Store have a disney section for souveniers?
5. LBVFS is a lower-end outlet center than OPO. You'll find cheaper stores and lower quality merchandise, but generally cheaper prices. It's similar to the difference between WalMart and Target. The Disney outlet at LBVFS is not owned by Disney, and so has different stock than the Disney-owned outlets at OPO and Pr1me. It's more hit-and-miss; sometimes it has great stuff, sometimes it has nothing but junk. But when it does have great stuff, the bargains are generally much better than those at OPO or Pr1me.
6. Not so much souveniers, but the WalMart on SR 535 has an extensive selection of Disney clothing and beach towels, at prices much cheaper than those on-site. However, the merchandise is not the same selection as on-site; it's simply a more extensive selection of the same line of Disney stuff that can be found at any non-
Disney store that carries Disney clothing. It's a nice alternative, but I prefer getting actual park-branded merchandise at the Disney outlets.
thanks, we only have a few hours to "outlet shop"...just wondering if either of the outlets have better deals or are the bargains about the same.
If you only have a few hours, I recommend going directly to the Orlando Premium Outlets location and not trying LBVFS. The LBV location is unpredictable; if you get there and find nothing you like, you will have wasted valuable time. But you will almost always find good stuff at the OPO location.
It's more than across the road. I'd say 2 or 3 miles.
Is Belz near Universal still open? I thought I heard it was being torn down and rebuilt.
Belz was bought, demolished, and re-built several years ago. It is now the Pr1me Outlets International, and is very similar in decor and in tennants to the Orlando Premium Outlets. If you are short on time, or if you don't have a car, you can skip Pr1ime without feeling guilty, since the vast majority of stores are the same as OPO, and inside the Disney outlet, the stock is usually about 80% identical to the Disney outlet at OPO.
There are always a few things that are unique to each Disney outlet, but since Pr1me is such a long taxi ride from WDW, I recommend skipping it unless you have plenty of time and a rental car.
