Information on Frozen Fun (Lines, FP, where, Anna & Elsa, Olaf, etc.)

The fast passes for Anna & Elsa are on the sidewalk just past the Animation Academy. Go early as they still go pretty quickly. The new meet and greet is better, in my opinion. We didn't feel as rushed or crowded as we did in Fantasyland. The girls were wonderful with my daughter.

Olaf is awesome! We waited in the line to get the pager for about 45mins. Once you have your pager, you can go inside the building to play in the snow, shop, eat, and listen to the entertainment. If you don't want to do that you can wander around Hollywood Land The pagers won't work past ToT or the beginning of the street. If you are on a ride or in a show when you pager goes off, you don't have to rush back. Just bring it in when you are finished.

Once your pager goes off you can get in the line to meet Olaf. Then you can hang out in the building, play in the snow, or go on with your day.

We did the whole Frozen Fun thing on Friday. (I think crowd levels were a 6-7) We got to the park shortly after opening and got FPs for A&E meet and greet for 9:20. (I forget the end time) There wasn't any kind of line, just people occasionally walking up to get them like we did. Then we headed over to meet Olaf. They gave us a pager and said it would be 30mins. Again, we just walked up. We let them know we had A&E FPs and they said if the pager went off not to worry just come on back when we were done. So we checked out the snow, took some pics and just generally checked things out. We decided to have our pics in front of the Frozen giant snowflake thing at beginning of the street and realized we may have gone too far. We did our M&G which was very well organized and fun. They even let us make a video of them saying hi to my younger DD. Headed back to Olaf and explained we may have gone too far. They told us, no worries and sent us over to the line. Olaf was adorable! We waited maybe five minutes in each line. The whole thing is very well thought out and organized.

On Saturday which was extremely busy (marathon and a BUNCH of schools) we decided to try and get FPs for the Royal Theatre show. It was around 11 and people were lined up for the first show. DD went over to FP machine and got us FPs for the 3:15 show. Again, there wasn't really a line to get them as far as I could tell. Line up was after 2:40. We got there about 2:45-2:50 and were towards the front with maybe 20-30 people ahead of us? We'd gotten Mickey Bars to snack on while we waited and when they opened up to let us in DD realized she threw our FPs away with her napkin! We let people ahead as we tried to get them and another guest helped us get the door to the can open and fish them out. Fortunately it had just been changed and they were right there. I feel confident that the CMs would've taken pity on us since you had to show it twice to get to where we were. Anyway, we still had decent seats on the side but would've easily been center stage if we hadn't had that mishap. Absolutely adorable show, highly recommend! On our way out another guest was asking about the show and a CM directed her to the FP machine so it seems they are readily available.

Has anyone attended the Sing Along? What are the waits like for that? This is on my (not my kids, MY) Must Do List for my upcoming trip. Lol. This, and meeting Olaf.

Is this going to be an ongoing attraction or only for the winter? We are head to SoCal in early June.

It's not entirely known at this point which elements will be continuing. The tentative end date is May 15, but it hasn't been announced if that means everything will stop or only some elements. If I had to guess, I would say that the meet and greets will continue, but things like the Sing-A-Long and Freeze the Night might end. Frozen at Fantasy Faire might continue, but it might be scaled back so that either Tangled or Beauty & the Beast are also presented.

This post indicates that Olaf's Snow Fest will end on April 30, 2015, although Olaf will continue to meet guests (according to the comments).

We did the sing along last Sunday, 1/18. I would highly recommend getting a FP. We were sitting in the Award Wieners area and we heard a CM come out and say the seating was full and had to turn away a lot of people waiting in line. Many upset and disappointed folks. I imagine they must have been standby but don't know for sure.

However, the FP was awesome. We were able to get front row middle seats. The trick is to line up by the door farthest away from where you enter. But it was crazy because later comers came up from behind and stood to the side against the wall and when the door opened, they tried to cut in front of those of us who had been waiting from the beginning. It was like Kentucky Derby. I almost got trampled by some very rude young gals.

I watched the last sing-along show this past Saturday night (9:30 I think) and you didn't need a FP. Everybody from the stand-by was let in, so if you can wait until the end of the night that's another good option. :thumbsup2

So I am trying to figure where everything is now, please correct me if I am wrong.

Olaf m&g--Studio 17 DCA--pager required
Snow play area/food--inside studio 17-regular line to get in??
Frozen sing a long--Old Muppets theater. No FP. Runs every hour on the hour?
A&E m&G--DCA in the front of the Animation bldg. FP required
Frozen at Fantasy Faire--in DL FP required

Trying to get everything straight for my clients going in a couple of weeks.

We were there two weeks ago on the 9th and 10th. We found ourselves heading over to the TOT at about 4pm and they were still giving out fastpasses for the A & E meet and greet. We got a return time for 8:10pm and was able to hit the line around 8 and by 8:20 we had been in an out and DD was thrilled. I only had to wait behind one other person getting fastpasses. After all the hub bub, it was terrific for it to end up being such an easy process.

Just did ALL the Frozen stuff this week. We went to DCA on EMH and walked into A$E meet and greet and then Olaf's Snow Play. Met Olaf right away and played in snow. We had to wait until park opened to all to get a FP for sing along. We could have waited in line w/o FP for first show at 9:30 that day but chose 10:30 show with FP.

If EMH is not an option I would grab FP for A&E meet and greet and do FP for sing along, then queue up for Olaf.

I also recommend seeing the Frozen play in Fantasyland at the Royal Theater. It's FP system too so easy to do and well worth the wait. It's the one Frozen thing you probably need to arrive early for so your children get a great seat up close to the stage. Kids sit on round rugs on floor right up front and there are benches for parents. It's also interactive and everyone seemed to enjoy it.

For the Fantasyland Royal Theater, how does the FP work for different show times? Do you get assigned a show time or if I want to see a 3pm show, I need to get a FP after the 2pm show but before 3pm?

Thanks

You sort of get what you get. We were there on Sunday before MLK day and really crowded. We got into DL about 1 pm--it was mobbed. We got FP for play-machines with CMs helping in the hub- about 2. We got FP for last show of the day which was around 5:45. Went to line up about 30 min before and several people already in line but still got good seats. Most seats are good but DGD6 got to sit right up front by stage.

I would check FP first thing and ask CMs what time the FP is for and they can advise if it doesn't meet your time guidelines about when to come back to get a FP for the show time you want.:joker:

I did the A&E meet and greet recently without a fastpass and only had two people in front of me. It could have been a fluke, but basically I watched the parade right out front and then walked in straight after not realising that they shut it down during the parade and they were only just re-opening, so there was no line.

So, if you don't/can't get a fastpass, it is worth trying straight after a parade, you might also get lucky.

So...is this--the m&g and the shows-- an area for adults without kids? I really liked Frozen but I'll be there in 2 weeks with my adult brother who also liked it, but I am not so sure he will want to spend time there. What do you think is there for adults without children? Thanks!!

That amazing, since they usually check tickets twice, once to get in line and once to get into the area where you are escorted to the princesses. Was there any handlers with the sisters?

Yes there were several handlers. We walked up too and had one couple in front of us. They were adults and had their pictures taken with A&E. We were there for EMH so low crowd level at that time.

You can do pretty much everything w/o kids and feel ok about it. Maybe not the sled ride in the snow play area--but you could if you really wanted to do so. They do have photographers taking pictures as you sled downhill. Also photographers doing magic shots in the snow play area might be fun for adults. Also there is a snack bar and small gift shop in the snow play area so you could always just do that. Also Olaf is worth seeing even if you don't meet him. So cute!

You will enjoy the Sing Along if you enjoyed the movie--and it snows at the end! In Fantasy Faire you would probably like the Frozen play--cute with lots of humor aimed at adults and you sit on benches while kids sit up front on floor by stage so you won't feel silly being w/o children.

If you like the canal boats, there is now an Arendale scene in that ride. You can also see it from Casey Jr. ride--when we did it three senior ladies were also doing the Casey Jr. ride w/o kids. It's Disneyland--no one raised an eyebrow! Enjoy whatever you choose to do.pixiedust:
