was told to me that could get a MONSTER PIN that gives resort discounts if not a passholder (I am) however wanted to find out what this actualy was.

What you are referring to is a discount code that was sent in the mail and by email using Monsters Inc. on the flier. These codes are sent specifically to the name on the flier. You can get signed up to get these codes by ordering the free Disney vacation guide video.
